Minimal capture, Maximum feeling

Photographs can capture many details, record a moment, and create a feeling. As an artist and lover of art, I’ve always had a fond appreciation for the minimal. “Less is more”, as the profound Mies Van der Rohe once said.

In a medium such as photography, it seems counterintuitive to want to create an image that is so minimal in representation or composition that it borders on the abstract. But sometimes it’s the simplest images that can evoke the most complex of feelings. It’s their simplicity that can speak volumes, loud and clear.

There are various ways to create minimal photographic images…

By mere repetition

Try capturing images that are very simple, yet strong. It’s not always easy to do! 🙂

Happy shooting!
