We are full on into the holiday season now. There’s no turning back, it’s full steam ahead. It seems like every year it creeps up on me. And every year I’m left scrambling for those last minute gifts. And every year I say I’m gonna be on top of it (too late!). But this year is certainly different, especially taking into account all the shipping delays with Covid still out there.
So, for those of you last minute shoppers with the photographers or photo lovers in your life, I’ve got a treat for you! Here are six fun (and inexpensive) photo gifts that any photographer would love!
You can’t get any more fun than a plastic, toy camera! And no two are alike. The light leaks and random distortion really ad drama and whimsy to the photos. It’s also a great way to play around with film. Just don’t expect any “correctly” exposed images!
Maybe your photog friend is also a fashionista. Or maybe they want to wear their love of photography on their sleeve. I have a few of these camera lens wrist bands and I absolutely love them. Both women and men would find them quite the statement piece
I have one of these lens cups too and I love it! Imagine people’s shock to see someone drinking from this lens. It looks so realistic, even the pros will be fooled. It comes in Nikon and Canon models to match their preferred gear.
Every photographer, enthusiast or pro, would love this impressive collection of images from the George Eastman house that chronicles the history of photography. It is the ultimate coffee table book for anyone, really.
Photographers are artist too, you know. I just discovered this book myself and hoping that I get it from Santa this year! These lovely photography inspired illustrations will provide any photog with hours of relaxing, artful play.
After a hard day of shooting film, this pint glass is a welcome gift for that film enthusiast in your life. You can choose from various film emulsions, every photographer has their preference!
Seen any other fun gifts for photographers around? Share them in the comments.
I hope some of these have given you inspiration for your gift-giving. Any of them would be sure to bring a smile to most photogs I know!
Happy shopping!
